Go to your Settings, then click About device.įor more information, I have included this article that addresses some more troubleshooting steps when it comes to using the card reader.Launch your App Store, then click Updates.I have recommended this link, which gives a break down of the compatibility with the account types, for example, Quickbooks Desktop, Go Payments, Quickbooks Online, and so forth.Īnother step is updating your Quickbooks GoPayments and Online Mobile App. Just a few things I wanted to add, you could double-check that your program has the latest release and the necessary system requirements. Thank you for chiming and sharing your experience. Please keep me updated on how it goes as I want to ensure that you're able to process payments. Thanks for sharing your concern with us here in the Community, setting up a card reader on your mobile device, make sure that you have the latest version of the app. You may download the updates from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. I have looked for help online about this specific issue but only can find troublehooting on connecting the reader the first time to a phone - I had no trouble setting them up or getting them going the day of the event - but during lulls in activity or in the midst of lots of transactions, a reader would disconnect. QBO - please reach out to me if you have any troubleshooting tips. Two of the readers were brand new and the other two were a year old. My staff was frustrated and so were folks who were checking out.

After connecting all the phones and readers (4 in total) at the start of the event, I was on call to troubleshoot connectivity issues all day - at all times, one of the readers was not working - we had to tell some attendees that we will invoice them when a reader would not connect after multiple attempts - and then a few minutes later it would connect - I don't know what the problem was - and I am not sure I could use these readers again. I had a similar experience at an event recently.
